Golf was GOOOOD!!!! It has been a LONGGGG time since I last touched the clubs. So much so that my sunday bag was gathering dust the past few months. That was why I decided that no matter what, rain or shine, I will head to the driving range. Indeed I did. So many that I went there with another colleague coz it was ages. The place? Marina Bay Golf Course at Tanjong Rhu. Quite inaccesible if you do not have your own transport. Nonetheless, it was first time there. I was not very impressed with the service staff. You have to pay for almost everything. from locker room keys, to access the changing cum shower room, you have to pay. Gee.. and when I said, I simply need to change my clothes, they directed me to the Gents instead! Oh well, the place is HUGE. 4 levels of driving range. But it was pouring so much, we simply stick to the 2nd level.
Took me a while to warm up and my first few swings were totally crap. Big time. It was as though I didn’t know how to play golf anymore and seeing the person next to me hitting the balls with such accuracy and technique made me a little anxious. Totally didn’t help the situation at all. But well, after a while, things got better and it was such a great feeling when you hit the sweet spot and you see the ball flying into the distant green. I LIKE IT!
We even took a short video clip of ourselves swinging… haha. In a way we could playback and see how we did and what are the areas to improve. 
I am so excited! I want to go to the range more frequently if possible! Practice and hit the golf with such skill that it almost seems like tai chi in golf! Hmm.. whatever that means.
The weather was pouring so heavily throughout the time we were there and I was really lucky to have missy j come pick me up!!! That was really sweet of her. I can’t imagine lugging the sunday bag around waiting for cabs which never come and there are millons waiting for cabs too. I am really really thankful that missy j is making the effort to come down. *happy happy me!*
