Point and Shoot
All of the sudden, the whole family becomes user of Sony Ericsson phones! It used to be Nokia… things changed! Been using Nokia all my life…. so using the new Sony Ericsson phone takes a while to get use the functions. It’s pretty cool so far and I am liking it already. It is like a whole new toy for me. Rather than the usual Nokia interface which I was so used to the past 8 years(?!).
Anyway, reality of working is slowly starting to sink in. The memories of the one week long break is fading away. At least, one thing that I can think positively about working is the fact that it keeps my mind thinking, analysing. Constantly exercising the brain… which might also explains why I am getting more white hair!! At the same time, I am looking forward to the upcoming Chinese New Year as well. Thinking of taking 3 days leave. See how it goes.
That is so much about work and missy j is soooo busy with her projects and stuff. It is her final semester and she has so much things to do. All the projects, assignments and everything under the sun. Poor girl. Sigh. I really hope that she will ride through this rough tide soon. I know she can and she will.
Looking forward to “Forbidden Chestnuts” this coming Friday. That would provide some comic and stress relief.
And my interest in photography is developing into all time high. I am thinking of buying new lens to replace the kit lens. Not that it is no good but ultimately it is something that you progress when you want to have better quality, richer and sharper images.
My first lens bought was the 50mm f/1.8 lens. this lens is cheap and good. I love how the pictures turn out whenever I use this lens. Of course, it forces to moveabout more because it is a fixed length lens, therefore, you have to position yourself closer whenever you want to get close to the subject! Good practice for photo composition.
I have been reading up quite a bit online about what type of lens to get and I sort of decided on this one! It is a decent lens, not expensive like the Canon IS lens, which costs a bomb for the similar focal range. This lens cost 1/3 of the Canon lens. Here is the picture of the lens…Tamron SP AF17-50mm F/2.8 XR Di II LD Aspherical [IF]. Read that it is selling like hotcakes in SG but I will only get it when I save enough money for it. Hopefully in time for my midyear trip with missy j. That would be REALLY NICE!
