Stepping into 2007

2 days of 2007 has passed. What have done over the new year? Hmm.. Nothing much actually. Spent most of the time at home or else missy j’s place where we caught the fireworks from her flat. Quite a good view actually. We did that last year too. Except that this year we were watching a Korean VCD, “The Host” when the clock struck 12. So in a way, my celebrations have been rather cosy and simple affair.

Missy j was suggesting that for this coming new year’s eve (12 months away) we should book a hotel room to celebrate. hehe.. We really plan ahead huh!

Anyway, yesterday, I started the new year practically sleeping the whole afternoon away coz of the slight flu and persistent cough. Later in the evening, attended a wedding dinner @ Marina Mandarin. Almost overslept but i made in the nick of time. It was quite an enjoyable affair where we were all seated in one corner. haha. literally “relak one corner” and most of the time, it seemed like we were having our own party. But the best part was, I didn’t had much alcohol other than tea and one glass of white wine towards the end of the dinner.

So what exciting events planned out for the new year? Let me see… hmm, for one, missy j is going to graduate and we are planning for a holiday to Oz in May/June (Yes!! Looking forward to that already. Going to block leave the days when I head back to work next week). Woohoo.. probably another  one at the end of year if we have enough cash flow. That would be really nice. In the while, to continue working and stay motivated (That itself is a challenge) I also want to work on my fitness.. as my most common whine of 2006 was to get bigger and broader shoulders. i.e., needs to beef up.

I’m in missy j’s room right now, typing this entry on her iBook while she’s busy with her project work. lalalala.. I’m so happy that I’m on leave this week while most are heading back to work tomorrow. The joy of not working is a wonderful feeling but I still have some unfinished work to do which I hope to clear soon.. Maybe the the a day or two to clear them at my own time.
